CLA research release 1.1 — 16 October 2026

Scope: the six compiled datasets and the separate complete DESNZ disclosure-row cohort.
Publication: https://civillibertiesaction.org.uk/pages/evidence-databases

REPRODUCE
Unzip into an empty directory. Node.js 20+ and Python 3 are sufficient; no package installation is needed.
1. node scripts/build_databases.mjs
Rebuilds the six public JSON/CSV files from the supplied research records. Compare their SHA256 hashes with the published data manifest.
2. python research/databases/import_treatment.py
Recreates treatment records from the retained official ODS, HTML and CSV inputs. It writes treatment.json and its method notes. Run step 1 again to rebuild exports.
3. python research/databases/economy_scenario.py
Prints scenario inputs and calculated values as CSV; output is conditional arithmetic, not an official estimate or a statistical interval.
4. python research/databases/import_desnz_cohort.py
Recreates the complete departmental disclosure cohort from unchanged source bytes. No donor joins or date repairs are performed.

Publication HTML and individual record pages are supplied under publication/. They are the release's readable record, not required to rebuild the numeric/data exports.

REPRODUCIBILITY LIMITS
The package reproduces transformations and calculations from retained evidence records. It does not independently reproduce the judgement used to select or interpret every source. The original purposive search history is incomplete. Employer, legal and news originals remain linked at their publishers and may change or become unavailable. No independent human, legal or external review is claimed. Detailed methods and field definitions are in publication/methods/.

RIGHTS
CLA permits reuse and adaptation of its original annotations/code with attribution, version, URL and identification of changes, without implied endorsement. This permission covers only rights CLA can grant. Government files retain their original OGL terms except where otherwise stated. Third-party documents, news reports, judgments and logos retain their own terms; this package does not grant blanket rights to them. See publication/reuse.html.

Corrections: policy@civillibertiesaction.org.uk, with record ID and primary evidence.
